Saturday: Boneless Duck Breast- Dark and tender served with a sweet/tart reduction of currants.  Accompanied by fruited wild rice.   A break from the ordinary.     Your 5 course meal with this entrée - $50

Organic, Natural Red, -2006- Frey, CA

Organic Cabernet Sauvignon, -2007- Bonterra,  CA - $33

Elegant, well balanced.  Distinctive berry plum flavor, hints of pepper, cedar and Vanilla.  A lush fruit centered wine with a rich, full mouth.  Award winning.  

Organic, Mendocino Red Vine Series 2005 – Bonterra, CA - $44
Award winning blend of Cabernet (75%), Petite Sauvignon (12%) & Syrah (13%).  Limited release.  All the best of the three grapes.

A great everyday blended wine joining Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay. Medium-bodied with melon and pear flavors.   Pairs almost universally.  No sulfites!

A sparkling wine, aromas of bright citrus fruit with a silky-smooth texture
Pairs well with light foods.   Marvelous alone.  Italian version of champagne.

Wonderfully crisp white.  Excellent with pasta sauces or fish.

The Dining Room at Blue Heron offers classic fine food served with warm hospitality in our lakeside wilderness setting.  We are open for dinner Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  Please call/email us with your entree selection at least 24 hrs in advance.  We have only 5 tables, so space fills up fast.  Blue Heron's menu changes seasonally.    All meals are five courses and include appetizer, bread, soup or salad, main with sides, beverages and dessert.  Wine is available by the glass or by the bottle. Chef Ted L'allier will work with you to accommodate special diets; he regularly prepares meals that are low fat, Vegetarian,  gluten free and lactose free.
