"Our
children have made us promise we will come back to stay at BH! Their
favorites were swimming and canoeing, as well as the game corner
upstairs. The 2 stuffed animals to greet them on their beds were a real
treat! They enjoyed every breakfast. The Gingerbread pancakes with
lemon sauce was both their favorites. We could not have asked for

The Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast served as a wonderful home base for my March vacation. To be able to explore the boundary waters right outside your door first thing each morning by foot, x-c skis or snowshoes was incredible. At night after the wolves quieted down, I'd walk our onto the frozen lake to simply enjoy the stars and the quietness. And of course my two dogs seemed to enjoy the whole adventure, even when I remarked to them about their naivety in scent marking wolf tracks. Thanks again to Derek for showing me the Hegman Lake pictographs and being so patient while I photographed wolf scat and myriad types of lichens that we found along the trail.
