 (JO in one of her most comfortable settings...the kitchen!) Jo Kovach has owned and operated the Blue Heron for over 18 years. She escaped the city and academic/corporate industry some time ago. Jo was born and raised just a few places down the lake from the Blue Heron, and has many a story. She has put much thought into the detail and decor of every room at Blue Heron. Her attention to detail and insistence on maintaining the naturalness of the setting has created an extraordinary place. Blue Heron is such a special place....even to the staff!  (Bill as "Shamus" in the play, "Unsinkable Molly Brown") Bill Quinn was a long-time canoe guide for the Boy Scouts Canoe Base out of Ely. He has called Ely home since 1987. He makes the world's best scones, swabs a mean toilet and changes sheets with the best of them. He is a wonderful storyteller and is active in Ely's theater community and has performed in many of Ely's musicals and plays.  Bill and JO were joined in marriage in November 0f 2007. |
